REGULATIONS

THE COMPETITION

  1. The competition consists of 2 rounds.
    The first round will take place on May 10 and the finals will take place on May 11.
  2. The allowed playing time per round is as follows:
    • first round: eight-minute program of your choice
    • final: twenty-five minutes of free program of your choice containing at least 2 different style periods

    Contestants are allowed to repeat 6-minute program from the first round in the finals.

  3. Exceeding the time limits will result in disqualification.
  4. The order of performance of participants will be determined by the competition organization.
  5. The program must be played by heart. A digital copy of the sheet music must be submitted to the judges for review.
  6. Each participant will receive an assessment from the judges that can be requested afterwards.
  7. Prizes: The winner will receive €1000 prize money. The second prize: €500 prize money.

The judgment of the jury is binding.

GENERAL
Participation is open to participants from all countries.
Upon registration, each participant agrees to:

  • The rules of this competition
  • The jury’s decisions
  • The directions of the organization of this competition
  1. The competition organization determines the maximum number of participants in the mutual rounds and the competition as a whole. Registration is by order of registration and payment.
  2. The competition is open to the public.
  3. All rounds take place in the Arkezaal in the Enschede Music Center. Registration and inspection will take place at Kunstenschool Kaliber in Enschede.
  4. If a participant is not present on time he/she will be excluded from further participation in the competition without refund of the participation fee.

  5. The registration deadline is 01 May 2024

  6. Each entry must include:
    • Truthful personal information: name, address, e-mail and date of birth.
    • The full program including the playing time of each piece.
    • Participation money.

    The feeds must be demonstrably delivered to the board of the foundation within the above deadline

  7. Changes to the program are possible until May 08, 2024.
  8. The participation money must be transferred through the online payment function, part of the official online registration. The enrollment and related items mentioned under 6. do not become final until the participation fee is received.
  9. The competition organization may reject an entry if the requirements are not met or are incomplete.
    The participant in question will be informed in a timely manner.
  10. If the participant cancels participation within 14 days before the start of the festival, no refund of the participation fee is possible.

OTHER PROVISIONS
In any situation not already covered by the above rules, the competition organization will decide how to deal with the situation.
